If during a game update you get an error as Base game incompatibility or your launcher say that your game version is 0.0.0.0, try to follow these steps:
- Uninstall EA Download Manager
- Reboot your machine
- Obtain the latest available version here
- Open EA Download Manager to ensure that the Download Manager is fully up to date
- Open The Sims 3 Launcher
At this point the Launcher should prompt you that there is another available update and all products will be properly in sync.
If this doesn't work, and you don't solve the problem, you can try to manual download the patch, by using this useful tool.

If you followed the above directions to no avail, please create a thread in The Sims 3 Site’s Tech Discussion Forum(http://bit.ly/9WuMhc) with as much information as possible. This information will help us troubleshoot your issue as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please include:
- Products installed: Base Game, World Adventures, High-End Loft Stuff, Ambitions
- Version of each product which can be found by opening the skuversion.txt file (These are located in the corresponding folder for Base Game and/or Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs)
- Example: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\skuversion.txt
- Example: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Ambitions\Game\Bin\skuversion.txt
- The important information to include in your post is the first line of the Text document that reads: Gameversion = 1.12.70.006001

If you are a Sims2 player, perhaps you are pretty to use some pose box to load poses and animation when you want. Actually The Sims 3 is poor of this type of custom contents... btw, we have created a page to list all objects available to load poses and animation.

One More Slot Packages (OMSP) is the name of a series of objects born for The Sims 2, useful to place some objects on the same tile. They are usually colums under Buy menu/surfaces/misc and once you've place objects on them, you can turn them invisible.

 Some people reported some issues with a doll created by Rebecah at TSR (exactly HERE - but now the file is fixed). If you have this file in its old version, it will be attached to all your creations, so you need to remove it.

If you have an object called "Girl Doll Dressed" in the Installed Content in your Launcher, please uninstall it.

To delete the file: 0x038a68fe04da61a6aa65f939d77fbc37.package, go into your DCBackups (C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup), find the file and delete it.

If you had that file in your C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup folder, this may have attached itself to your exports. If you had that file and recently exported content to your Launcher, delete that content from your Export folder and your Launcher.
